Let’s meet Ryo.
Q: Where are you from?
A: Kagoshima, Japan. It’s in the south of Japan, close to the water.
Q: Which level of IEC class are you in?
A: Advanced B for both levels
Q: What was your favorite IEC activity?
A: Yes, I would like to go to the Fall Bridge program.
Q: Do you want to transfer to DVC?
A: Alcatraz in San Francisco because that was the first time I went to a prison. I enjoyed learning about the history.
Q: Name ONE food you would eat if you had to eat it for the rest of your life?
A: Sushi with tuna!
Q: What has been the most helpful strategy for you in studying English?
A: Talking with my host family or watching English movies and listening to music in English.
Q: What other places in the U.S. do you want to visit? How about the worldwide?
A: I would like to visit New York because NY is the most famous city in the U.S. I would also like to visit Australia!
Q: What do you miss about your home country?
A: My family of course and my friends. Oh and Japanese food!
Q: If you were gifted $1M today, what’s the first thing you would do?
A: I would like to buy a new house. The house would have a pool, a garden a cottage.
